Well, that was quick. Less than a day after Fallout 3's "The Pitt" downloadable content was pulled from Xbox Live over some major issues with glitches, it's back and available to download once more.

The DLC costs 800 points but is free to anyone who paid and downloaded the corrupt version.


The Pitt offers Fallout 3 players a whole new area to explore: a post-nuclear re-imagining of Pittsburgh full of raiders and hideously mutated, er, mutants.

Nintendo just unveiled its DSi ware, a new dowloadable games service for its handheld device, putting it on par with the iPhone and iPod touch’s App Store. Should Apple be scared of this new competitor? we think yes!

Anounced yesterdayto the delight of US gamers, DSi Ware brings the first content of downloadable games to the Nintendo handheld and after a quick summary of the system there are alot of similarities to Apples app store.

Although some might say there is no chance that the Appstores game will be over thrown then think about the amount of games the DS already has and then add on the amount of games that millions of users are going to create and developers will develop.

Its clear Nintendo have big plans for the DS and are going to start to move it out into many different markets besides gaming and after the system is up and running Nintendo will sure to have a few more suprises up its sleeve.

Peter Molyneux from LionHead studios may be revealing Fable III or some other secret game at the GDC later this month. Maybe its not true but at the BAFTA awards ceremony he sed that those interested willl want to pay close attention to what he does and says at GDC.

“Naming a particular game before it’s out is a difficult thing. And I’ll tell you why, because in two weeks I’m about to fly out to America for the Gamers’ Development Conference and that’s the time when you start to see what’s really coming up,” said Molyneux to the BBC.

Maybe its not true and its something else but whatever it is, it must be big.

If it is indeed fable 3 then 360 owners will be in for quite a suprise.

Capcom has released that Resident Evil 5 has sold over 4 million copies since its release.

The game has been a huge success on both consoles and will continue selling extremely well over the coming weeks.

The “Resident Evil” series is extremely popular, having shipped over 40 million copies worldwide since the first title was released in 1996 (as of March 16, 2009). The series paved the pathway for a new genre, Survival Horror, and even after ten years, the “Resident Evil” series is renowned as one of the most popular video game franchises in the world.

The pack includes the new survival mode, which challenges players to hold out against a never ending wave of infected for as long as possible, as well as the addition of the Dead Air and Death Toll campaigns in Versus mode.

In the latest of Bungies weekly updates they teased at the very end that something was going to happen on April 9th 2009. Now this is all very exciting for xbox 360 owners because it is highly speculated that this will be the release of the mythic map pack to everyone who didnt buy Halo Wars.

Those that already have Halo Wars have been playing in the new maps for some time now as they recieved a free glimpse into the new maps from bungie.

Although Halo 3 Was released at the end on 2007 the game is still fighting strong with the most amount of Xbox live users and also it has been the Xbox 360's No 1 game.

But for those who put Halo away a long time ago its now time to get out that disc, blow the dust off and download the map pack and start pwning some noobs!

After the amazing success of the PS2 and the amount of games that were developed for the platform, the PS3 would seem to follow in its footsteps but from what is currently occuring this is not the case.

The PS3 has been out for over a year and developers are starting to say how it is a hard platform to develop for and that the xbox 360 is much easier.

The final Fantasy franchise has always been very exclusive to sony except for some odd games developed for xbox and nintendo. But the announcement that the highly anticipated game, Final Fantast XIII, will be published on both PS3 and Xbox 360, it seems sony has lost this exclusive as Square Enix is trying to reach the Western market.

Square Enix's, Hiroshi Takai stated, after the release of Star Ocean, that “In both cases the experience has been a positive one. In fact, as we've only just finished work on Last Remnant, I don't even know what my next project is going to be at Square Enix. However, I'm very much hoping it'll be for Xbox 360, as it's been a lot easier to work with than PlayStation 3”.

There have also been many development issues that have caused the delay in game realease such as GTA IV were the game was delayed multiple times before its release and analysts speculate it was caused by PS3 development issues.

Although the matter seems prominent now it could just be developers taking time to come accustomed to the new system or it could be somethin alot worse that could lead to the PS3's downfall.

Killzone 2 was always going to be an amazing game and being exclusive to the play station 3 it was going to do wonders for the console.
On its release, February 25th 2009, every ps3 owner wanted a copy of the game and also alot of xbox owners. Based on 64 reviews the game got an average of 91% which just prooves how good the game really is.
There was also alot of talk on wether this game would finally start to pick up the slowing sales of Playstation 3 and so far the stats have been promising and as 2009 is being seen as 'the year of the ps3' the system is off too a good start.

The game has practically thrown resistance 2 into the shadows and has become the game associated with the system. The game supports up to an incredible 32 players in the one match and all this is done with very minimal lag. The campaign is stronger than the first installment of killzone and the graphics and gameplay are flawless.

This game truly is the leader of the PS3 war.

there has been a very slight rumour running around that Bungie's next Halo game will be coming to the PS3...
well i think its time to set that rumour straight..
Firstly, just because Bungie and Microsfot split doesnt mean that Bungies game will start to be made on play station. Microsoft still own the Halo franchise and they would never let Sony get their hands on it. Not even if there was to be an agreement for 360 to get metal gear solid 4 in return.

Secondly there has not been any official news that the game will be published on any other platform besides the xbox 360.

And thirdly making Halo 3 ODST available on another platform would emediatly remove the title of 'exclusive' from the game. Halo is the biggest franchise that the 360 has and without it im sure Microsoft would loose millions.

With the release of the highly anticipated Resident Evil 5 just under a week ago now, im sure alot of you are wondering which console the game is best on...

We will compare the graphics on the 2 consoles, the gameplay and the online capabilities.

After analyzing many different aspects of the character models, enviroments and general design i think that this picture best describes the console that has the superior graphics. Even though the PS3 has the superior hardware the xbox 360 version has much better quality graphics than its opponent. The image clearly shows the attention to detail in the 360 version, where in the PS3 the image appears blurrly and dull.

Gameplay
The gameplay mechanics of each version are obviously exactly the same and also the controls but what makes the gameplay different is the graphics setup of the versions and i would have to say after experiencing both consoles the PS3 really does offer a slightly better gameplay as it runs so smoothly and the blurred effects often add the the general feel of the game.

Online Capabilities
Xbox live has always offered a great online experience to xbox owners and this game is no exception. The online co-op and versus mode are both solid on live and there are very few problems with lag and drop-outs.
The PSN offers generally the same experience but after some online playing the player finding can be tedious and lag was begining to be apparent in alot of the games.
Even though both consoles have to pay the $5 fee for the versus mode the xbox 360 came out on top for online capabilities.
